Thank you for HEVC!
what is the broadcast arrangement???
I'm so confused with the order I'm supposed to watch the anime in. If your 2 encodes follow the chronological order, does it mean this 2009 season 2 release also has the 2006 episodes? Because from what I understand the only way the chronological order works is if you combine both seasons, but you didn't. You created 2 folders and made them follow an order than only works if they're combined. This is hurting my brain.
@TheDeadImmortal Seconding this!! Why is it even spit up into two 'seasons?' They should've just released it in broadcast order and let us sort it out for ourselves. Now they've left me checking each file to make sure they're the episode I think they are, filename doesn't even give them the assigned episode title, just a numerical value. Argh, what a pain
@Onigirli Just finished watching the entire series. This isn't "season 2" per say, this is just a continuation of the chronological order. Meaning this "season 2" literally starts in the middle of the Endless Eight arc and contains the 2006 episodes, which makes the 2009 bit in the filename confusing, pointless and misleading. Season 2 literally doesn't exist so this torrent makes no sense. Either you release the first 14 episodes in whatever order you want, or you release the entire 28 episode anime in chronological order, since that's how "season 2" was broadcasted. A 14 episode season 2 doesn't even exist, this just confuses everything.
You've created quite the mess with the 2 separate torrents for this series. These episodes are in chronological storyline order (not broadcast order) - which is good but I would have liked to have known that before I rearranged them on my PC. The first and second seasons are all jumbled together but you made it look like it was still in broadcast order. Ugh. Ok, I'm adding the episode titles for reference. Torrent file order linked to the Episode title. Then everyone can figure out what they want to do. If you watch these in file number order it will be the chronological storyline order which is nice. 01 The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya I 02 The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya II 03 The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya III 04 The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya IV 05 The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya V 06 The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya VI 07 The Boredom of Haruhi Suzumiya 08 Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody 09 Mystérique Sign 10 Remote Island Syndrome I 11 Remote Island Syndrome II 12 Endless Eight I 13 Endless Eight II 14 Endless Eight III 15 Endless Eight IV 16 Endless Eight V 17 Endless Eight VI 18 Endless Eight VII 19 Endless Eight VIII 20 The Sigh of Haruhi Suzumiya I 21 The Sigh of Haruhi Suzumiya II 22 The Sigh of Haruhi Suzumiya III 23 The Sigh of Haruhi Suzumiya VI 24 The Sigh of Haruhi Suzumiya V 25 Mikuru Asahina's Adventure - Episode 00 26 Live Alive 27 The Day of Sagittarius 28 Someday in the Rain
Just to help stop the arguments... There are Officially 3 - yes THREE different episode file orders for this series. * Seaon 1 was broadcast initially in a Non Linear Episode order - known as the Broadcast List or Kyon's List - Where the episodes were broadcast like Flashbacks in Kyon's timeline, as Kyon is the storyteller * The Next listing is the Chronological Episode Order - which Follows Haruhi's general event Timeline. In the Season 1 "Next episode previews" , the animators actually show both the episode list numbers - * One number relating to Kyon's episode order, * The other for Haruhi's episode ordering * The original Season 1 DVDs were compiled in Haruhi's chronological order . Then there is the Third Episode Order... * when the second season was broadcast in 2009, they did a full run of the 28 episodes But in the Chronological Chapter Order as Per the order of events from the Novels. where the new season 2 episodes were mixed in with the season 1 episodes * AND, ...so, this is the format as the above episode order Listing which is how the series is packaged on the DVDs and BluRay disks. SO, Stop bagging the uploaders - The file lists posted are all legit, whether it be * Kyon's - broadcast order or * Haruhi's - chronological order or * The DVD/ BluRay - chapter chronology ordering.
Any plans on releasing the movie?
+1 @Trog I remember when this first aired. It was quite unique both in the content and how the story actually flowed (not being linear), which caused a real comotion even back in the day. Sort of nice to see it's still causing as much of a comotion, which is probably why (to my knowledge) something like this hasn't been done again. Nothing but trouble all around! lol
