From his website (it wasn't on the page he linked, so I didn't notice at first) >Source is from the digitally remastered BD edition which is 480i and has better quality than the 1080i/p BD version.

It's originally SD so I didn't want to use the crappily upscaled 1080i source. Instead, I used the "one-BD" release as source, the same as in this torrent: https://nyaa.si/view/821345. So basically I made a little upscale on the 480i source. This BD version can be bought here: https://tinyurl.com/y2slejwd I'm planning on using the same kind of source for Higurashi Kai. He said something along the lines of: "MY format doesn't accept the codec, I changed the codec but that didn't fix the issue, after waiting a long time I had to delete it" I myself speak spanish and I'm still not sure what he meant lol
