1966 Ultraman series in HD, sourced from the Japanese Blu-ray. Subs from here: https://nyaa.si/view/1038818
720p version is currently encoding, please be patient.

This was done 5 years ago when I was less experienced with OCR software, so there are missing lines here and there.
And thank you for your hard work!
Here are the fixed episodes 23-25. The source I got the videos from had them out of order and I foolishly didn't check the whole episode. They should be in the right order with the correct subs now:

I found them on a Chinese site and had to download a third party program to download them. It takes forever.

As much as I appreciate this (I've been trying to find a subbed 1080p rip of Ultraman for a couple months now), the subtitles you've used are ugly as all hell and are slightly mistimed. People should be made aware of this before downloading; otherwise this is real high quality stuff, so thanks a bunch.

I apologize. The computer I was working from wasn't able to handle the HEVC very well in Aegisub. I'm revising a version two where I encode the 720p version first and use that for timing so it's easier on the computer.
The subtitle styling will be gone as well. I was trying to do a quick push out the door and I agree, the subtitles that I ripped from the previous videos were very offputting.
Hopefully I'll have Ultraman, Seven, Ace and Leo ready to go in a reasonable timeframe considering the work I've got cut out for me. The timing is wildly different from the subbed videos. I don't know when I'll have Jack and Taro ready to go, since I've gotta create scrubs for those.
Thanks! It's something I've wanted to do for a long time, as I was greatly upset by bootleg hoarders who made English subbed Blu-rays and then tried to sell them for unreasonable prices.
Hoping Tsuburaya will fill in some of the blanks soon and release shows like 80, Jonius, Nexus, Mebius, Max and Cosmos on Blu-ray soon, it'd be great to have all the main Ultra shows in HD.
do not change the style of the subs (i like it)...........u get urself into a never ending mess when u try to change and keep the formatting of the words consistent and readable....unless someone actually subtitles stuff, they don't know how hard it actually is
just fix the timing..........every line is off the same amount.......aegisub allows u to correct this......the titles u have to fix timing separately.....just a couple of lines per episode.....so it's not to bad:)
Personally, I would like to keep a uniform styling among my projects. This includes limited stylization (limited to maybe the show titles and the episode titles) and the rest in a regular, less distracting font. I simply went with this for time's sake, and it ended up biting me, as the Chaiyo transfers for all the Showa Ultra shows (Ultra Q through Taro) have way different timing. (This is even evident in the Ultra Q Blu-ray rip elsewhere on this site, though taking a swing at the timing on that is the last thing on my list.) If you'd like to keep the styling with better timing, feel free to rip the subs from my version 2 that I'll upload and add the styling back in.
(And again, I was using Aegisub, the problem was my computer not being able to handle the HEVC codec. Once I create H.264 versions, it will be much easier to time and then just apply those subs back to the HEVC versions.)
@Mebius01 I updated my original link from to BD Rips. The timing has been corrected and it's the same Ultraman colored font: https://mega.nz/#F!Mj53XbIY!etEHSNtjjP0CMOCfVPvhpQ
thanks............when i looked at the subs.........the timing was off .60 to .70........titles were off differently, ( but off the same amounts of time)
.......can't remember which ep, but one line of sub was way off like 2 seconds...also
title font was different after the first 5 or 6 eps i think (i made it all corbel).............oh and in ep 22........in one Yes.......it had a space
Y es
ultraseven mega link does not work.......are there subs/blurays?
Really? The timing wasn't off for me. Or are you talking about the torrent? If so, the timing is off because the subtitle files were originally timed to be in sync with DVDRIPs instead of BD and I guess the uploader didn't re-time them to accommodate the BDRIPs. Also, I have deactivated the link for the Ultraseven subs to make some changes. I will post a new link tomorrow.
It was half the DVD timing being out of sync (the US DVDs notoriously had bad timing themselves), half my computer really not liking HEVC. It's going much smoother with better timing now that I'm making H.264 version to time from and then resizing and applying to the HEVC versions. Plus, it gets the 720p versions out quicker.
