I checked your history comments and i realized you are one of those guys who keeps trying to underestimate every encode.
I feel like i gave you too much time so i will be simple with you because i really dont want to turn this thread into a fight.
Life is simple, if you like the job then keep going and download, and if you dont just leave, no one forced you to like this or to download it.
You can download any other encode you like, you can spend some money and buy Blu-rays for your self, there is too many solutions.

I don't care if you respond or not, I care about people making good releases and making decisions that actually make sense when doing so. That was originally what I asked the question for, but in response you did not respect my question whatsoever by dodging it entirely, so I had no reason to bother treating you with respect in return.
@LLlawliet 444 makes sense for preserving color information at lower resolutions (assuming the source was 1080p, as is the case here). Upscaling the chroma to 444 gives minimal quality gains but severely increases the filesize. It's a waste and there's practically no reason to go 444 for a 1080p release with a source that is 1080p. If this was a 4k BD, I'd 100% be behind the decision to go 444. For this though? 420 is better.
