Here's something you did't see coming. Not much to say about this, I have no clever lines about the show, since this is the sequel to 2199. You should watch both. Set three years after the last season (duh... 2202 - 2199 = 3), the Yamato has an ever worse enemy to fight against. So bad that even the former enemies will have to give a hand in saving the universe this time. But it must be done, since it's the will of the Goddess Teresa. Really good stuff. And really good animation. I can't remember if I encoded 2199 though... I'll get back to you on that. Subtitles are by Central Anime, just restyled a little.

Thanks, can't wait for Hinamatsuri BD Batch :)

Anvil: I can't remember either. I'll have to check my archives. ASSASSINSUBS: I was actually getting the rickyhorror encode. Made my own for volumes 4-6, but can't make a batch.
thanks!!!
Reported! You used my scripts to create a re-release! you should really stop stealing other people subs. Even though you mention us your "restyle" is not approved by us. The official batch(1080p) is https://nyaa.si/view/1143342

I'm fairly certain that is allowed as long as one does not use the group name. Using subtitles from sources other then one's own is permitted. It's using the tags of other groups that is not permitted. Also, this is 720p. If I am wrong, I'm certain a moderator of Nyaa will inform me.
It is not. It doesn't matter if you made it 480, it is not allowed under Nyaa rules. You should read them. I have. You are reported.
Lol @Heibi Everyone uses others' subs to do their own encodes. That's how the fansub scene works.

DmonHiro (uploader)

If it isn't, then I apologize, but there is nothing in the rules about it. Also, if what you say is true, that means 90% of all BD releases are actually against the rules, since they use subtitles from other releases. Should what you say is true, and I believe it isn't, then a moderator will inform us.
DMonHiro is not a fansubber. He didn't do any of the work. I put in hundreds of hours on the work we did. Not to mention the others who helped. All he did was relabel it and presented it as his own. You may want to check the rules. Plus you could pull it down. Your release is unnecessary and not yours.

1. While I do not translate shows anymore, I have in the past (a few I'd like to forget about though). And a few specials here and there recently. I have also worked in about half a dozen groups. As such, by definition, I am a fansubber. 2. I have not once claimed I did any work on the subtitles of this anime. 3. As mentioned earlier, I have checked the rules page and I have broken none of them. 4. Yes, I could pull it down. 5. Your official batch is 1080p. Mine is 720p. Some people want 720p. The very opposite of unnecessary. 6. It is very much mine. It says so in the torrent title. In all seriousness, this is my encode still. 7. The "m" is not capital. The name is supposed to sound like "Demon hero", but is actually made up of the names of Daemon from Digimon 02 and Heero Yui from Gundam Wing. My 12 year old self though it was clever. It was not, but I'm keeping it.
@Heibi Did you wake up on the wrong side of bed today or something? If using other people's subs on your releases were against Nyaa's rules, this place would be deserted.
Yes, you have broken the rules. You apparently didn't read them very well. And yes, you should pull them down. Why don't you translate it yourself from scratch like we did? But I guess it's easier to just take someone else's script and call it your own. Yeah, I see where you're coming from.
>@Heibi But I guess it’s easier to just take someone else’s script and call it your own The description mentions where the subtitles came from, though.
Do not add your own tag(s) when reuploading an original release. Unless you are reuploading an original release, you should either avoid using tags that are not your own or make it extremely clear to everyone that you are the one responsible for the upload. If these policies are not obeyed, then those torrents will be removed if reported by a group or person commonly seen as the owner of the tag(s). This especially applies to remake torrents.
These are the fights I am looking for ;)

Heibi, do you know what a "tag" is? It's not the subtitles. It's the group name. If I labeled this [Central Anime] Space Battleship Yamato 2202 (BD, 720p) or even [Central-Anime & DmonHiro] Space Battleship Yamato 2202 (BD, 720p), that would be using your tag and against the rules. Am I using your subs? Yes. Did I say they are my own? No. Is this against the rules? No.
>Yes, you have broken the rules. You apparently didn’t read them very well. >You apparently didn’t read them very well. >didn’t read them very well. Sweet, sweet irony.
@Heibi But it's his encode and his release. The subtitles are not his own, but he's giving credit to those responsible for them.
Take them down. You are being asked to by the originator. If such actions like this continue we'll simply never release any of works again. Works that people are asking for.
Calm down Heibi. This type of thing is being done with basically every halfway popular anime. People take others' subs and put them on their own encodes, sometimes slightly adjusting or impoving on them. There are literally thousands of similar cases to this around.
Oh no, if DmonHiro doesn't comply he'll never release things again! He's had such a nice streak of *squints* ![](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/425357202963038208/578345182823710730/unknown.png) 2 whole releases this year! (a total of 3 episodes + a batch, no less)

I would take it down, but I feel bad for the 45 people downloading. Nice use of "originator" though. Makes me think of vampire monarchs. LightArrowsEXE, that's not nice. CA has had a lot of releases in total. How did you get AniDB to show the date though? Mine doesn't.
@Heibi I don't know where you think acting like a prima donna will get you, mate. This is a site for pirated material, in case you've forgotten.
@DmonHiro that's Nyaa. I said it like this because he said "we’ll simply never release any of works again" despite being largely inactive for over 4 years. Seems more like he ran out of stuff to release ages ago to me!
@ Dmon-Kun: This post has become #15 of your most comments, let it go till records get broken mate ^^ Also thanks for doing it in 720p, thanks C-A for your good quality subs.

I don't mean to be rude but it's been 7.5 minutes since the last comment. Getting lonely.
"The “m” is not capital. The name is supposed to sound like “Demon hero”, but is actually made up of the names of Daemon from Digimon 02 and Heero Yui from Gundam Wing. My 12 year old self though it was clever. It was not, but I’m keeping it." You told me it could be pronounced "D-mon Hero" as well. I just don't know what to believe any more...

DmonHiro (uploader)

I'm pretty certain "d-mon" and "demon" sound the same when you say them in English. Also, this is your fault to begin with because I hadn't even thought about the pronunciation until that thread a few days back. I blame you.

DmonHiro (uploader)

Trusted
Yeah, fansub drama is pretty scarce these days. When it does happen you have to take it all in. You don't know when, or even if, the next one is coming.
"D-mon" woulds sound like "Dee mawn" not "Dee min."
brb in 10 years going to learn jap..
Surprised Heibi has yet to say "It's my intellectual work!". This is so dumb. Control freaks make me sick.
I read it "Da Mon" haha. It's going smoothly DmonHiro ^^

DmonHiro (uploader)

Trusted
arvon2, where did you get "d-min" from? Man, talking about pronunciation is hard when you can only write. Also, where IS Nala_Alan? I'm getting worried. Think he's OK?
I was going to download CA's release, but now I'm downloading yours. You clearly care about the leechers, unlike CA who only releases in restrictive 1080p
>you should really stop stealing other people subs. Read the rules page before submitting reports. **EDIT:** looks like you tried to read the rules page but just failed catastrophically. This doesn't break the rules.
"Dee min" would be how you pronounce "Demon." "Dee mon" would be pronouncing it like "mawn" or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nq3I16BgPvY

DmonHiro (uploader)

It's what I do.
Nala always comment "First!" and leave. Sometimes he gets beaten and write "Second!" ^^

DmonHiro (uploader)

It is not "mawn", thank you very much. skiddiks, you are stone cold. I'd take you out for a beer if we were on the same continent.
>re-translate stuff What did he mean by this?
>1080p Master race I'll Dracarys you 720p people
That's what I've been trying to get at, but you've been very difficult in this matter.
Congrats everyone who did comment here, we achieved second rank. First is far so don't bother ^^ https://nyaa.si/user/DmonHiro?s=comments&o=desc

DmonHiro (uploader)

Well, I have no idea how to properly explain the pronunciation so I'm sticking with the chuni "demon hero". ninjacloud, but first rank is not fair because it wasn't on topic. I think. Honestly I have no clue what the hell people were talking about there.
>Also, where IS Nala_Alan? I’m getting worried. Think he’s OK? i'm right here and i'm certainly not ok after reading these comments
Oh god there he is , we can still get the first rank comment wise now.

DmonHiro (uploader)

Oh, thank God. It's OK, he's here, he's here. He's OK. Had me worried. Say something if you're here, jeez. Baka.
capitalized god is the best meme
I can't believe a green name is claiming exclusivity on fansubs
...sigh...headache. this is really awkward especially when think where we are is a pirate island.
LightArrowsEXE stole my heart years ago and we still haven't banned him. ?
I always assumed "Dmon" was intended to be read like the first two syllables of "demonstrative".
Which definition of demonstrative?
In an effort to please probably nobody, and likely accomplish nothing, I've decided to personally go ahead and un-trust this particular release for a short period of time to give CentralAnime what they probably actually want, which is likely stats on their release that they've presumably put hard work into only to be shown up by another "green" release shortly after that is in fact their own work put on a different encode with no substantial changes to the script. This is not a site policy change/decision, I'm doing this as just myself. I'll leave the comments open for now I suppose unless it gets too heated here, also do not take this "discussion" onto any other torrent comment sections please, I've already had to delete some blatant trolling on another upload. To DmonHiro, please do not change the flag back for a one week period, if you do not change it back I will. I hope you understand their point of view as well as my decision, I don't really think it is the right one, but it is the best one I can think of at this time. I am taking your statement of `I would take it down, but I feel bad for the 45 people downloading` at face value to mean you won't mind this too much as a compromise. To CentralAnime / Heibi, I can understand to a degree you likely feel wronged by another "green" uploader coming along to make a release that is essentially just repackaging your subs onto another encode, but this does not really violate our rules, if it did a huge amount of content would be removed, and no BD groups would be allowed on here. This is merely a one time exception I'm making because I feel the situation is unfortunate but have no better solution in mind.

DmonHiro (uploader)

Trusted
I don't mind. If you're (the staff) looking for some sort of new rule, maybe have some sort of temporary restriction, like "You may not use the subs of a BD release for your own BD release until one week (or some other time period) has passed since the original upload date". Or something like that. Honestly, this type of situation won't come up a lot. And it's 54 now. It's something. One question though: there's stats?
>If such actions like this continue we’ll simply never release any of works again. Works that people are asking for. Yes, please stop releasing your awful fucking subs. You're an embarrassment.
Overheard in Nyaa comment section after DmonHiro's release... “He got me,” Heibi said after Dmon used his subs. "That f***ing DmonHiro boomed me." Heibi added, “He’s so good,” repeating it four times. Heibi then said he wanted to add DmonHiro to the list of fansubbers he works with this summer.
The pronunciation differs? [I've only heard one, excepting regular dialectal differences](https://dictionary.cambridge.org/pronunciation/english/demonstrative). To clarify, I mean with a schwa (ə) and the emphasis on the second syllable, not on the first.
In general I'd like to think most groups understand the fansub scene well enough to know that these things are normal, but I think in this case it just so happens to be a rarity where a series is an OVA with BDs available at the time when it is translated, and you just happened to make a release very quickly after the "original", which I can somewhat understand why they might see as a hostile move to them, as such I'm hoping this will only be a one time thing and we don't need a specific rule about this. Regardless, your understanding is appreciated, I can only hope the gentleman(?) from CentralAnime feels this is an acceptable compromise. Edit: >One question though: there’s stats? I meant the download stats, some people take it quite seriously.

DmonHiro (uploader)

Trusted
That's too bad, since I was not being hostile. My whole thing is providing 720p encodes for when there are none. CA released in 1080p only. Oh, I was hoping there was some rpg-style stat page like: DmonHiro: Level :598 (Number of torrents) HP: Total size of downloads MP: Total size of upload of own torrent. INT: Total number of comments.
Yeah, I don't think that was really your intention either, but I was merely mentioning I could see why they might see it this way after presumably putting in work to make the release. Ideally Heibi will come back after a drink or such and realize you weren't trying to "steal" their release or something and let this die off, as frankly it is dumb. But I could be horribly misunderstanding their intentions, maybe they just don't want releases using their subs, in which case I'd have to question if they know what kind of website/"community" this is. And sadly no, there aren't any game-like stats around, though that is a funny idea I might keep around for later.

A certain sad-panda site I frequent actually does have an RPG tied to the site. It's quite fun. But it's gotten so complex I don't really know what I'm doing anymore.
Until this release the only option for 2202 with English subs was CA. They use yellow for the main dialogue style. I hate yellow subs. I also don't care enough about an anime I've never seen to download 22ish GB of anime so I could then extract, alter, and remux one by one 26 episodes worth of .ass files just so the subs won't be yellow anymore before I try it. I can't speak for any aspect of fansubbing be it the quality of CA's subs or whoever's encode etc, but thank you for making a release of 2202 where the subs aren't ugly ass yellow.
I'm hoping Heibi and co will realize that they are leaving out folks who kinda rely on the 720p 10 bit (or 8 bit 1080p limit) like I myself who use to use an old ass PC and it could only handle this. I don't gotta worry about that anymore after upgrading to a Ryzen 5 2600 2nd gen but there's still people who rely on these resolutions. So if this issue of the subs being used is that severely important to you maybe reconsider in providing your version in 720p and I mean not half-assed either, otherwise releases like this (except for re-encodes for them who rely on smaller file sizes) would not really be needed. There's been several releases that had only 1080p BD releases that Dmon (and others) have provided a 720p version, so his intention are not ill-willed as elaborated by Dmon already.
Probably more to the point of color coding of the release was getting on my nerves. Yes, it was uploaded by a trusted user, but it fits into the category of a RED release. Red entries (remake) are torrents that match any of the following: Reencode of original release. Remux of another uploader's original release for hardsubbing and/or fixing purposes. Reupload of original release using non-original file names. Project-gxs who I am in contact with always uses the Red upload color because they are simply re-releasing our works. I had no problem with them and kept them updated. DmnoHiro came across with an attitude I didn't like and couldn't seem to grasp why someone would take offense to his actions. And yes I was hot under the collar seeing a Green re-release of something that I've been working on for the last 2 years being suddenly posted so soon after the batch we released on Monday this week. To me it seemed callous, especially from someone who claims to have done fansubbing in the past. Anyway, I differ to the admin's cooler head.
>And sadly no, there aren’t any game-like stats around, though that is a funny idea I might keep around for later. I appreciate your good work, Mod-sama. But can I have a request? Would you bring back the chatbox please? ?
DmonHiro's release does not fit the rules for "red". It is not a re-encode of your release. He encoded the video himself. It's not a remux of your release. Again an original encode for people who want 720p. Nor is it a reupload of an original release using non-original file names. It's not your release simply renamed. It's a brand new encode. Nyaa staff have already chimed in to let you know you're clearly not understanding the rules Heibi.
@ChaoXide I simply made my opinion known as to what I believe it should be color tagged as. I made no statement that the admin must do as I say. In fact I differed to the admin. If that's the way they are going to do it fine. The argument is over and done with. I just explained my dissatisfaction and anger from earlier. I still don't like it but there's nothing I can do now.
Extending your control to other uploaders releases is ridiculous. It's like these BDMV sharers who bitch when their stuff is shared from private to public like on this site. Correct my thinking if wrong but you want Dmon's original 720p encode release with your script to be marked red which is strictly for those who re-encode and may likely get less downloads particularly if they use the search filter "no remakes" for those that want quality therefore pushing people to your releases. And I know old nyaa had some horrible mods that did just that for either using fansubbers script or just the typeset were marked red towards other BD group(s). The majority of releases on nyaa will have to also be marked red following your logic such as those who still call themselves fansubbers who use sources from Crunchyroll, HiDiVE, Amazon, etc (no TLC) and will also include BD releases that use fansub's original script on a video that is available only in say 1080p (like yours) and that would be ridiculous and overreaching. Project-gxs does small re-encode releases especially 720p. They haven't even done a 720p release of this series either. Dmon's version is the only one that exists thus far. Either do an original 720p encode to stroke your ego further or don't.
>This shitshow is still going on LMAO. I hope Heibi realizes that the only person that will come out of this whole thing looking bad will be him, and only him. I appreciate the work CA has done throughout the years but, not only is this fit he's throwing completely unreasonable, it's utterly embarrassing.
@Heibi, I realize the rules are somewhat vague regarding remakes so I'll try to explain them as we the staff enforce them: >Red entries (remake) are torrents that match any of the following: >Reencode of original release. This is meant to describe the situation where someone takes a release, and encodes the video files as provided into another release. In this situation they did not make their own encode from whatever available source(BDMV or such) is around, or otherwise use some other available raw. >Remux of another uploader’s original release for hardsubbing and/or fixing purposes. The hardsubbing part is obvious I believe, the "fixing purposes" one is about if someone were to take a release, change American English to British English for example, and otherwise reuse the same video/styling/etc from the original release. >Reupload of original release using non-original file names. This one is literal, if someone took a release (subs, encode, everything) and straight up just renamed the files to some other tag it would at the very least get red, but more likely deleted as it would serve no point. Essentially the reason this does not qualify for red(remake) status is because DmonHiro says he made his own encode, presumably from the BDMV. If he did re-encode your video it would be red. I think it is a a potentially useful release for some people who may want a 720p encode, if CentralAnime were to make one I think he wouldn't have even made this at all. I do understand your point of view though that seeing another trusted release shortly after yours which to you may have appeared to be just stealing your work and putting it on another encode might have been something you didn't like. I do think you perhaps could have tried working something out with the uploader, just my opinion though.
@Aureolin: Thanks. This is why rules should never be vague. They need to be clear-cut. But at least I know how they are now viewed by the staff. To the others who "LMAO" or think I should have just ignored this, I will always stand up for my work. Sorry that you just don't seem to understand such a concept. When I see something that I believe to be a breaking of the rules I will call out that post. But since it appears that no one cares for our work I'm seeing little desire to feed the masses after this. Sorry I went and subtitled a series that everyone wanted. Guess that was a mistake.

Still ripping other people's subs without bothering to give credit where credit is due I see.
Is it just me or suddenly somehow a lot of the 720p encodes are hitting the 1GB+ mark and 1080p encodes hitting 2+GB mark since past few months? 720p encodes were like close to 400MB max and 1080p was like 1GB max previously. I thought h264 and hevc saved more space but files are getting larger and larger. :(
Man, this is crazy. Control freaks are something else. I'm sure the folks who are greatly appreciative for your work are the streamers who took your release and put it on their site profiting to the bank but here little old Dmon gave your group credit and did his own encode and people who either can only watch in 720p or prefer smaller file size are gonna watch YOUR SCRIPT. I would think that's worthy of ego ecstasy. @D44 Maybe read the description next time. >Really good stuff. And really good animation. I can’t remember if I encoded 2199 though… I’ll get back to you on that. Subtitles are by Central Anime, just restyled a little. @bikkuri It depends per episode. If they got a lot of action expect the file size to increase. There could be other reasons too but generally that's the case. If it's old sources maybe they got tons of grain on them.
@Heibi Yes, we probably should make our rules more clear, they are inherited from the old site and we never really went over them as it seemed good enough for us. We may need to take a look at making them more clear cut in the future. Also, I'm personally a fan of the Yamato series and appreciate that you've taken the time to sub it. I haven't watched your release yet, but I expect plenty of others are enjoying it as visible from the old non-batched releases download counts and many positive comments. I do think you could have perhaps taken a more measured approach to this whole thing, but I also understand people sometimes get heated about things, it is human nature and I don't believe it is worth faulting you over, so you won't see me laughing at you. Hopefully we'll still see you guys around in the future, if you ever have any questions about site policy or anything else I'm available on Rizon with the same username as here, I am not just an admin, but also the current site owner so in general it is safe to assume I'll have some answers for you or be able to help you. I hope you have a good day/night wherever you are.
@D44 Oh look, someone else who can't read for shit.
@bikkuri: You are not alone with this observation. I would like to know the reason as well, I don't think it is just because "a lot of action" like @noZA_ said. Older stuff had at least as much action. I think it is due to encode settings - this release vs CentralAnime's is a good example: 24.9GB (720p) vs 21.9GB (1080p). A comparison of the visual quality would be interesting.
@kamineko Well yeah there's the encode settings too that I overlooked. In contrast tho seems Dmon's first few episodes are lower file size but increases while Central's are at times the opposite. Here's their mediainfo and some screenshots. Ah, yes... the first few episodes are CRF 16, but then I realized CRF 15 was the way to go. They still look good though. I just wanted CRF 15 to make absolutely sure there was no bit starvation.
I also muxed the episodes with the larger raw rips (~2GB) as well as edited the yellow/blue subs to white, used a nicer font (LT Finnegan Medium) and removed the spaces before punctuation marks - we're in 2019 and it simply wasn't grammatically correct and not pleasing to read. The translation job was still great though and I do appreciate all the hard work CA put into it. That said, I tend to agree with waiting a short amount of time since the official CA release before adding another torrent on here.
There is indeed some parts of the rules which are not clears. The rules for colors are clears, but they are not exclusive, overlaps, and no rules said what colors win over another. If i'm a trusted user, who make a re-encode of a batch total serie with an hidden torrent... Am i green, red, orange or grey ? The four..? ^_^ No rule specify which color wins (unless i've missed it).

In your example, the result is easy: it's gray. Your default color is green, but you have to manually select red if it's a remake. And if you click "hidden" it's automatically made grey.

In case anyone else wants to filter out this trash's releases from their search results, just add "-DmonHiro" to your query (without the quotes) and you're set. You're welcome.
Like this ? https://nyaa.si/?f=0&c=0_0&q=yamato+-dmonhiro Why bother lol I usually get what Dmon uploads, sorry pal~

@D44 You've made your inability to read very clear earlier in this comment thread; why should anyone take you seriously?
Crying about piracy, in a pirated website.. Doofuses..
Why you being a brown-noser @D44 No need to put the cape on for Central Anime dude. [Get help](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Deg7VrpHbM). 720p watchers need love too.

Nah not done....Get with the times... 720 is stone age. I am with heibi on this one ! 101.....
Has anyone released the official Funimation subtitled episodes past episode 14? Central Anime did an excelent work and provided us with subtitled versions throughout the long 2202 release, but there are still some subtle (or sometimes not that subtle) differences between their subs and the official release. DrP and LupinTheNerd released episodes up to 14 but then stopped, even as episodes were being released weekly in both dubber and subbed form. If anyone has these, I think there would be interest in a batch release of the full series.
