[KiruaSubs] Re Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu - Memory Snow OVA. Proudly translated by me, and proofread by EngrishSucks and Frusty. Also thanks to Mirou for doing the Karaoke. This was translated from Japanese directly, so expect a high quality (yeah no kidding lol, took me 11 days of work).
I included 2 files here for the 2 Raw versions that exist.
- If you're using the raw version that is 60 minutes long (like the LowPowerRaws or Moozzi2 versions), then use the file "[KiruaSubs] Re Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu-Memory Snow OVA-60 Minutes.ass".
- And if you're using the raw version that is 63 minutes long (like the OhysRaws version), then use the file "[KiruaSubs] Re Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu-Memory Snow OVA-63 Minutes.ass".
(The 63 minutes long version is the one with the theater warnings at the beginning)
You just have to drag and drop the file corresponding to your version to your video player, and enjoy ^^

EDIT: A number of you got an error about the fonts used. It isn't a real error. The font used is your video player's default font. I tested it on different devices and it's showing just fine. Just play the video and ignore the warning ^^
EDIT 2: Anyone getting an error extracting the .rar archive can try using 7Z instead of whatever program you're using. It should work.

@Styx235 that's a false positive, I mean, there are only 2 .ass files and a .txt file in there so...
@Saltbush it's working fine for a few people I asked to test, it should extract just fine. Maybe try changing your program you're using? (especially if on your mobile)

Edit: On a side note: Few people translate chinese donghua. Me literally waiting for a certain donghua to get translate for months. xD
"What we have here?" these subs are "trooublesome", both are quotes from the subtitles.
Couldn't stand watching past 5 minutes. Stylistic preference perhaps, but I had enough.
The sub refers to a non-existing style "Default - Copy". MPC-HC warns and substitutes "Default". I thought it's worth noting. It's with both .ass files.
@Rock I followed the official YenPress translation here. They elongate Roswaal's vowels, because he does so when talking(in Japanese)
It's too bad you didn't like the style. You should probably not try reading the Light Novel then.
Edit: Or you could edit those additional vowels and watch it like you prefer it too ^^
Thanks! Same error on the non-existing style here. And on the Neko raws the subs are just a fraction late. BTW, the Neko raws came with a 3 minute chibi short. Any plans on translating that too?
@nls this is in reference to the default font used in the subs. It just has a different name in different Video Players, but it shows just fine. Play the file and it'll all be fine ^^ (I also got the same thing when I opened it)
And no I don't think I'll be subbing that theater part...
I really want to take a break from Rezero for a while. I would have subbed it if it was relevant to the plot, but it was just a fun theater warnings, so...

@Killua69100 Thanks for the work you've put. A little suggestion here, putting the first 10 line of sub on top would make it look better (won't overlap with the hardcoded Japanese subs).
@salarx thanks for the feedback. I originally put 2 subs there. One sub at the top for the actual translation of the Japanese text, and one sub at the bottom for Subaru's Engrish, since his english is so bad that it isn't exactly coherent with the japanese sentences. But then I went with a compromise where I fixed Subaru's Engrish and adapted it to the japanese text. That's when I removed the top subs. I figured that no one is going to read 2 subs at the same time. Maybe I should have removed the subs at the bottom and left the ones on top. But oh well, I can't edit the file now that I uploaded it (right? no?), so I'll leave it as is.
@EngrishSucks You are the most amazing proofreader I'll ever work with, or so I'd like to think. This would have never been possible without your help. I hope you too get the chance to watch and enjoy it when things settle down for you xD

About the ass issue: no, it's simply a naming mistake. The style was probably copied inside the editor and a suffix added. I fixed all references to the correct one. It works perfectly and no more warnings.

Well, I had no energy left when I finished subbing this, and didn't want to make you wait another week or who-knows how much more. So I didn't sub it. I'm really tired of all the work now :3

zafhos, "European styled" fantasy does not necessarily mean they speak some "European-like" language there. There are a number of indications they actually speak Japanese in the world Subaru was dragged to. With just some slight differences.
@fenson I just shifted the subs a few minutes forward for those who downloaded the version with the theater warning. I'm sure that downloading a 950kb sub file is easier than downloading a specific +1gb video file.
Agree with @zafhos, just watched the OVA with this subs and honorifics were annoying in an anime like ReZero, I don't dislike honorifics but in a series like this doesn't fit, well, nothing like removing it with Notepad++ search and replacing couldn't fix. Thanks again for the subs anyway, I enjoyed the OVA, my fav series.
Hey @Killua69100, I noticed that Subaru's shout when he gets sent flying out of the window at 11:50 isn't subbed. I'm pretty sure he says "buon giorno!" (italian). Subaru shouting random stuff in those situations is one of the running gags of the series, you should probably add it. Thanks for the great subs!
@Vodakhun You're actually right. That one slipped through for some reason. I did sub his shout at 30:52 when he said "Buenos aires", but it seems like I forgot the one at 11:50. That's probably due to the fact that I used an automatically pre-timed sub file as a base, so it didn't give a slot to that. Good catch, tho I can't change it now that I uploaded the file
I can't seem to access the correct files when I'm using WinRar, I'm probably doing something wrong. I downloaded 7Zip but I'm not too familiar with how it works.The only files that show up in the folder are two subtitle files that I can't seem to do anything with, This is also my first time torrenting something lol would appreciate any help if possible.
