The distribution is what matters. They both equally suck in terms of accuracy. Horriblesubs gives you options on the file size, erai raws offers you one file size (or they usually do anyway). SInce I do not horde torrented anime and usually end up purchasing from yesasia, I do not wish to waste bandwidth on a 2gb file. with HS i can get a 125-350mb file. Often erai raws files are like 500-1.5gb FOR A 25 MINUTE PROGRAM. this is ridiculous. Also, the name is misleading. Yes they do put their stuff in english subs..but anyone who has been a part of this for more than a day realizes that this essentially means nothing. To the unversed, all they see is a mislabled torrent...like the other 100 mislablled torrents uploaded daily.
