Source is actually not that good, so I had to do some scene-filtering to improve overall experience with that anime. For example, [link](https://slowpics.org/comparison/a449e2e7-1168-4308-90d4-643e7ceb7823). It's also contains mainline AA processing: native resolution is 720p, matched kernel - bicubic, b - 1/3, c - 1/3. Non-matched signs and other stuff is masked by manually crafted masks.
In terms of banding, that's almost clean source with moderate banding on fades, so I've used a light de-band settings and scene-filtering on most noticeable parts.

Despite possibility to recover native resolution, original 720p image is too sharp and Descale itself introduces more banding on PP noise on my observation (well, it's applied after upscaling step anyway). There are also >720p episode captions and HVFULL ending texts, and they looks distorted after descaling, so I prefer to make 1080p releases with fixed bicubic/bilinear upscales (output is linemasked, so noise textures isn't actually harmed by descale).
FLIF is nice and lightweight in comparison to png. It will be default image format for my releases onward. The drawback is the decoding speed, but if you really want, just recode it to png when you want to poke with files and decoding speed matters. There are also [windows preview handler](https://drive.google.com/uc?id=1MXwTYACPXw81aJctQIJLbddJvoimfolA&export=download) for it, but, as I mentioned, decoding is slow, especially on high resolutions.
