MKA contains FLAC JPN 5.1 + ENG 5.1 + ENG Stereo + commentary audio track.
Most of the scenes in the original source are 810p. The image has a good quality with slight aliasing and banding present. We descaled the image to its native resolution 810p, then upscaled it to 1080p with high-quality algorithm. We applied mild anti-aliasing and de-banding as well.

They're both the kind of people that try to make up for their manky knowledge of encoding by just throwing bitrate at everything and hoping things turn out OK, especially Kimiko (Koten_Gars).

Sadly yes.
On a side there are BD remuxes, on the other there are encodes. Koten_Gars is one that makes encodes as big as BD remuxes.
Still I don't feel as a necessity to bad mouth them, as this encourages bashing on this platform, which is toxic behavior, and one would probably still be happy of their work if there was nothing else. Hence the words "they should be your last choice" which can be true, it is important to understand that it is a luxury to be able to choose something better optimized and to remind this is for free.
