This movie (poorly) takes adult politics, puts it in a movie targeted at teens, with the writing level of a little kids movie (think Persona 5 "Shitty Adults!"). The villians are cartoonishly evil, and none of the adults act in a believable manner. The moral "lesson" also doesn't make sense as presented. At least the 7 Main Characters are reasonably written and entertaining, just don't think to hard about anything else in the movie... And it has the most realistic lesbian I've seen in any anime; see if you can figure out who it is. You really talked me out of downloading this. Realistic lesbian? That's not very escapist.
how did you manage to halve ember's release lol

> You really talked me out of downloading this. It isn't a really good movie, but it is sort of pretty. I released it because I had the BDMV available, and I didn't see any other releases on anidb. > how did you manage to halve ember’s release lol He's using HEVC and probably at a lower CRF with AC3 audio, so it's going to be larger.
MPC-HC does not play this video

Update it. You need a recent version to playback AV1. It works with MPC-HC (latest) and MPC-BE and VLC and MPV.
Thanks. At 128kbit Dolby Pro Logic II stereo downmix could be an alternative to 5.1

opus is WAAAAAAY more efficient. Also every media player properly downmixes 5.1, so that's why I didn't bother with the stereo track.
I meant in opus codec. 2channel opus is better than 5.1 opus @128kbit, thats my reasoning. DLP II is just a downmix logic. 5.1 to DLP II wav file using eac3to (2 channels) and then to opus 2 channels.

> 2channel opus is better than 5.1 opus @128kbit That is technically correct, but it's not that simple Opus does some very complex bit sharing and bitrate shifting. Also this movie is mostly talking without complex sound effects and some bgm. 128kbit opus is plenty. If you put 128kbit opus stereo (downmixed to 2.0 before compression) and 128kbit 5.1 opus (downmixed to 2.0 lossless) next to each other you would not be able to hear a difference.
