Hii, since I don't rips DVDs, I will eventually post my personal releases/remux to watch R2J.
What we have here: Video and Audio direct from R2J DVD with R1 Subs!!!!
If you are wondering about that web version this is actually better: http://compare.bakashots.me/compare.php?setId=4466&comparisonId=31558&imageNum=1
Mediainfo: https://freetexthost.net/XzOZilF
Edit: Later I'll post the R2J untoched... and grab it fast I will not seed it forever.
Well, not much point in comparing DVD remuxes. And there's only one source for the subs, so it should be 99.9% identical. Still, the more people start doing DVD remuxes, the better. Welcome to the club, cazador1337!
PS: The 1080p version is trash. I checked that out myself.
Of course the 1080p version is trash. That's expected. Imagine Pani Poni Dash at 1080p. The DVD is screwed beyond hell to begin with.
**@owowo**
They are both remuxes, so there's really no difference between DmonHiro's and this one. Just a 1.6GB difference. It's a remux. Untouched from the source.
>the more people start doing DVD remuxes, the better
No, wtf? Just because you can't encode DVDs doesn't mean you need to rope everyone else into the same boat as well.
my opinion is that dvds only need remuxing if they dont have subs. i usually want to see the menus and have any included extra stuff that the remuxer may not want
That's like, your opinion. I'd rather have the untouched source then a screwed up encode. And sadly, many DVD encodes lose details from the DVD. That's just the limitation of the DVD technology. Sure, there are some guys out there that can do amazing encodes from DVDs. But they are rare. I CAN encode a DVD, but to me, it always looks worse then the source. Also, how is more DVD remuxes bad? Anyone can grab one and encode if they want.
I don't do anymore custom DVDs because is a pain in the ass for me... so this is the only way to watch it or Potplayer (that can use external subs, but also has some problem with timing).... Edit: potplayer is a amazing player (better than mpv imao)
Well yeah, a screwed up encode is something no one wants. But that doesn't make remuxes the holy grail of anime. I've seen so many DVDs which looked like absolute ass, only for an amazing encoder to come around making it look like the second coming of jesus. I wish more people would take the time to learn how to properly work with DVDs.
I converted the subtitles to .srt, but they need some fixing. You can download them [here](https://mega.nz/folder/hbozDIrY#kMauT-u_tT5XAgzm5J56uw).
Maybe someone wants to fix them all and even convert to .ass.
"No, wtf? Just because you can’t encode DVDs doesn’t mean you need to rope everyone else into the same boat as well." A clear dumbass. Dvdremuxes are the best sources because they are UNTOUCHED. Overfiltering and "improving the quality of dvds" in fact ruin the original quality. Remember, encoding ALWAYS reduces quality. You are encoding to a lossy codec. And no, even if you are the best encoder you cannot invent detail or improve what was on the original disc data.
