Agreed, as long as there are no 3-liners it's fine for me.
Big, legible subtitles allow the reader to read the line quickly and look back at the video faster. They are also better for people on small screens (phones).
Mmh ? Well I'd still say that it's too big, maybe a "middle" ground between the size of this release, and erai's would be good ? Not too big, but not too small as well ?
Just paste this in input.conf file in your mpv folder or in portable_config folder (MPV users)
```a
# increase subtitle font size
ALT+j add sub-scale +0.1
# decrease subtitle font size
ALT+k add sub-scale -0.1
Well, there're other options. Feel free google it. in last case it's possible to extract the subs file and edit. Anyway, Feel free to do what the hell you want haha
wow! you guys are not only consistent you are fast! easiest bookmark; congrats on the site and ill look out for ways to donate or whatever helps through your site
thanks for the feedback, we bumped down the fontsize from 27 to 26 (which is what we used initially) and the outline a little to go along with it, and also bumped the vertical margin up a little
I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum. As long as the subs are not *too* little, I can register the whole thing faster and thus have more time focusing on the visuals. It's a balacing act, and I'm by Erai's side for this particular example.
edit: to clarify, I guess it's about how much I would have to move my eyes across the screen in order to read. Long lines with big letters are a bit less comfortable on that front in my case, but then again this is going towards the territory of personal preference.
It will be a good day for anime piracy when people finally learn that groups like erai, horrible, subsplease and co. do not write the subs themselves but instead rip the official subs.
Let the font size be as it is, one change is enough. Just be thankful for the subber's consistency and fast releases. Man, all these complaints about the font size are utterly ridiculous. *sigh*
Funny coincidence - i had downloaded this (the SD release) and the Erai subs to see for myself if they're so different as people say elsewhere.
While watching the episode i looked for a scene where there may be separate subs on top or bottom - there was one with those flying cleaner demons.
I switched to Erai, noticed that the positioning is the same, but the size is too small to my liking, and quickly switched back, lol.
