PDF images can be extracted at higher quality than epub/cbz.
Use ghostscript on irfanview at 600dpi.
@ Fansubs/Scanlation Teams:
This is day and night for working something from a PDF https://stackoverflow.com/questions/24322338/remove-all-text-from-pdf-file/38010769#38010769
bundle is still available if you want to support
https://www.humblebundle.com/books/terrifying-tales-from-kodansha-books
Any help to this newbie (me) on how to extra the images from these PDFs with irfanview at 600dpi? Thanks
EDIT: Install Plugins, open PDF at 600, Save as...
Thanks
do you have these bundles from [2017](https://kodanshacomics.com/2017/06/21/fairy-tail-humble-bundle/) and [2018](https://kodanshacomics.com/2018/06/05/humble-bundle-kodansha-manga-to-anime/?)?
someone uploaded the 2018 bundle here on nyaa but most of them are dead + even the ddls
i wanted fairy tailc, 7deadly sins and Ajin pdfs
hmmm ... Dolly Kill Kill is up to vol 6 in digital, Gleipnir is up to vol 7 in digital, In Spectre is up to vol 12 in digital ... all avail here on nyaa
and those are just a few series I checked
so why does anyone need this batch ? ? ?
@Kilroyyorlik ... the answer to that is no ... because unlike Ganba who does the monthly updated batch of "official" translations and created a DDL folder for them ... Humble Bundle did not, eventhough it would make things a LOT easier for many people

Because this is a humble bundle and it contains the highest quality possible PDF versions. You can either use them to make your own super high res rips, or you just get a proper reader that has no problem rendering these PDFs.
Think about Danke's releases which are perfectly fine. His releases are 2000x3000 (good enough for everyone, tbh), however you can export the "images" in these PDFs at extremely high resolutions, like this for example: 6000x8400 (1200 dpi)

These PDFs are most likely used for print, hence they should replace whatever you have on your hard drive..
@DelishCaek
ahhhh yes ... the OMG it is like sooooooooooooooooo awesome because it is a transcendentally high screen resolution ... the same argument used by people in here to justify a 25 min long ep of anime that has a file size of 5-7 GB or more
even though probably 95% of the people who download those overinflated files can not even display them at that high of a resolution, because their laptop, PC, or tablet does not have a high enough screen resolution or sound resolution
I understand ... some people just want to feel superior because they have anime and manga files that are 5-10 times the file sizes of "normal" files that just about everyone else can watch or read, and completely enjoy with absolutely no problems
I DO have to wonder how much extra money those people spend on HDD's ... versus what normal people do
have a nice day

These PDFs are oftentimes (significantly) smaller than the "HD" releases you see being released by Danke etc. and they're still far higher quality.
Kasane, Danke: 3.9GB
PDF: 2.7GB
Inspectre, Danke: 3.7GB
PDFs: 1.6GB
Fort of Apocalypse, Hexer: 1.8GB
PDF: 1GB
Until Your Bones Rot, Danke: 2.2GB
PDF: 1.9GB
Inuyashiki, Danke: 4.8GB
PDF: 4GB
You don't even need to export to jpg and make an archive out of it. You can simply read them as PDF (which is what you should do anyway) and enjoy being able to enlarge each panel however much you like without seeing any upscaling artifacts. (depends on the reader you use, though, some don't render them properly or let you zoom in indefinitely)
This release is also helpful for when you want "HD" rips from some previously released stuff like Dragon Head (XRA's release is low res) or Sankarea (Hexer's release is upscaled).
I don't understand how PDF images can be extracted at higher quality, what do you mean by this?
CBR/CBZ are just RAR or ZIP files, if you open the files in WinRar for example you can just extract the actual images as they are.
