Erai used to be a go to for years, but since HS gave up & nuked themselves Erai has become unarguably lazy & bias with their uploads. The schedule is a complete joke because they just load whatever they want when they feel like it and seemingly actively refuse to load certain anime on time when they're clearly available and already loaded by others (SubsPlease is 1 example). To be specific it has been made VERY clear by Erai's own recent upload history that they refuse to honor their own schedule that they themselves post. Instead they prioritize ANY anime close to the genre of Shoujo / Kodomomuke / Slice of Life & Yuri. They especially ignore anything Shonen and refuse to load them consistently on time, sometimes even days late. (Not counting the VRV's they specifically said would only be VRV's) They used to be a very reliable go to but I can't see any way to defend they're recent "behavior" in relation to their upload's or some recent "posts".

Erai has also been deleting a lot of critical / negative commentary, in particular since their last major absence (after which they had a falling out with their moderator, who quit). Adding "We don't care"-announcements followed by donation begging for astronomical sums required by the next week? Honestly, it wouldn't even have come as a surprise if they had been trying to cash in one last time before quitting, either. Really looks like they got too full of themselves being the new go-to site in town, while ignoring the expectations that'd come with that. Just going by their recent behavior, I have to say 'good riddance', even though it sucks for multisub-fans.

Erai never tried replacing HS, their goal was and is to provide typesetted multi-subs. Typesetting is manual work and is done by a single person. So delays are not uncommon if that person gets busy. The fact that people complain about upload schedules is ridiculous. Groups of any kind be it Erai or HS or Subsplease or the many other that popped up do this for free. So stop complaining it gets you nowhere. To address the donation situation, yes I totally agree those are quite high numbers. But you forget that Erai also hosts services like DDL for free.

Except erai also fucked up when ripping shows without any additional typesetting. Delays are literally unacceptable because it's just a script that rips videos from x website and post them here. No human is involved in that process. How can anybody defend delays with that? Even before HS shit the bed erai posted their typeset videos at the very least the same day the episode got released. Now it takes them weeks. And also, they are absolutely not doing it for free lmao. Just like HS erai begs and pleads for donations. That is not doing it for free, they are looking for some sort monetary compensation. Fuck them. (Just to be clear, I'm not a fan of subsplease either but at the very least they release shit on time.)

Just remember that subsplease are essentially the people from HS that actually gave a damn. HS constantly begged for donations and had annoying J-List adds on their website. Which at the end of the day was only money that Dao used to buy all the kpop shit he shows off on his twitter. For now, subsplease is saying that they'll NEVER ask for donations but that at some point the might start showing ads on the website. We'll see how that goes. EDIT: now erai's website is just a blank page, lol. rip in pieces ya losers.
