**Songs of Tokyo Episode 20 - Love Live! Series Special**
**Three school idol groups get together on TV for the first time!**
SONGS OF TOKYO brings you the latest from the Japanese music scene. The upcoming episode will feature three school idol groups from the popular “Love Live!” series, a multimedia franchise that has been made into anime, games, and print. It follows the growth of school idols. “Love Live!” started in 2010 with the μ’s and later expanded with Aqours, Nijigasaki High School Idol Club, and Liella!. It has a growing international fan base-cosplayers can be seen in overseas anime events and feature length animations have been screened abroad.
In the program, there is a performance and talk by the duo units of Komiya Arisa (Kurosawa Dia) and Furihata Ai (Kurosawa Ruby), and Aida Rikako (Sakurauchi Riko) and Saito Shuka (Watanabe You) from Aqours, which is celebrating its 5th anniversary this year. Nijigasaki High School Idol Club performs two songs and four of the members (Onishi Aguri, Maeda Kaori, Kubota Miyu, Murakami Natsumi) join the talk session. Five members (Date Sayuri, Liyuu, Misaki Nako, Payton Naomi, Aoyama Nagisa) from Liella! also join the show. Liella! will be making their CD debut in April and will be featured in an anime starting in July.
Thirteen representative members from these three groups will be making their first TV appearance together. Hosts Murakami Shingo and Horan Chiaki get up close and personal with them, revealing their unique personalities and backstage anecdotes. The program also takes a look at the passionate and perceptive comments from fans around the world, giving an insight as to why the “Love Live!” series is so popular internationally.
