Recently found out about the Evangelion DVD-AUDIO releases from 2004 and was like "huh.... I have the Akira symphonic Suite DVD-AUDIO, might as well get this". Turns out.... the anibooters torrent contains broken iso's (assholes) and the only thing uploaded on the internet was the Stereo tracks (all 192khz), which is ok but I wanted to have the surround sound tracks as well since, again, Akira DVD-AUDIO had it, and it was teased in the DVD-AUDIO menu from that iso I downloaded from anibooters.
Three weeks later, I found a video covering the issues from the 25th anniversary box set and right in the comment section... a mega link containing all the surround tracks from the 2004 DVD-AUDIO releases. Absolute legend.
Now here we are, I got the surround sound and stereo tracks from [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/riprequests/comments/mxzt8v/share_neon_genesis_evangelion_soundtrack_25th/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) since u/tombunyon0 collected them all and replaced (almost) all the tracks with the DVD-AUDIO versions. So... I downloaded the entire collection, spilt them up into the correct albums, deleted the tracks that weren't on the 2004 releases, renamed them using the DVD-AUDIO titles (from the surround sound tracks, which were all in English), then retagged them.
I might have missed something but eh, should be somewhat small. Might also be possible to rebuild/create a DVD-AUDIO ISO with this. Not sure how but if you can somehow make it look very close to the original dvd menu that is included alongside this, noice.
Enjoy
You're welcome everyone! I was planning on eventually sharing them somehow since nobody seemed to have them but I never completed correctly tagging and I was/am still going through and fixing stereo tracks that have clipping. I was also planning on going back to the my original scans with Photoshop to have higher res images but I originally decided on finishing at 1200px since i figured that should be good at the time. Some people were asking about them so I figured heck, why not even though I still wanted to work on the things I just mentioned. I'm kinda surprised no one else seems to have these discs because ripping MLP format with dvdaudioextractor works flawlessly, it only seems to have issues with certain LPCM tracks. Unless it would rather be for BD ISO, as for recreating the DVD-Audio ISO, I don't think it would really be worth it since DVD-Audio players/software can only work with MLP format in 96kHz 24bit 5.1 and 192kHz 24bit 2.0 (only 96kHz 24bit 2.0 LPCM or less, anything surround besides MLP has to be AC3 or DTS). Those screenshots of the menu are exactly what displays, there's no special animations or audio queues or anything like that, just the plain stationary picture lol. I hope everyone else can enjoy them. I think they're cool since they're primarily the renewal of Revival of Evangelion versions. TV renewal had a different 5.1 mix which soundtrack selection of that was on Renewal Volume 8 and BD disc 07.
Yep, thank you @DamianV8501 for sharing the surround sound files! The DVD-A iso everyone (including mi) kept download was just... weird. Might have suffered from the LPCM issues you mentioned but idk, you sharing your copy of the tracks helped so bloody much. Again, thank you!
Truth be told I was planning on making a custom blu-ray audio based on these files. And yeah, it's true, it's just a static menu and that's easy to work with. I'd probably keep or contain the audio in a DTS-HDMA format for better compatibility. If someone else is planning this, even better. I've been working on restoring the missing audio and syncing the VSI dub to the BD release. This is perfect that I have a high quality lossless file for the missing cues. Again, thank you so much for sharing this. I used to have the lossless files ages ago and lost them.
Dolby TrueHD is a renamed MLP format.
I suggest having a dual-audio for the BD version of these files, with the 24/96/5.1 mix in Dolby TrueHD (with a 640kbps Dolby Digital 5.1 core) and the 24/192/2.0 mix in LPCM but considering the transcoding is lossless, it would probably be better to have DTS-HD MA 24/96/5.1 mix with a DTS 24/96 5.1 core in 1536kbps.
