Author: Shimesaba Illustrator: Booota Genres: Drama, Comedy, Romance Translation: [yuNS](https://www.crimsonmagic.me/) (until v2ch2), [Fully Booked TLs](https://fullybookedtls.wordpress.com/) (v2ch3 onwards) --- > Office worker Yoshida has been crushing on his boss, Airi Gotou, for five years. Despite finally scoring a date with her, his confession is promptly rejected. Drunk and disappointed, he stumbles home, only to find a high school girl sitting on the side of the road. The girl, needing a place to stay the night, attempts to seduce Yoshida. Despite rejecting her advances, he nevertheless invites her into his apartment. The next morning, the girl, introducing herself as Sayu Ogiwara, reveals that she has run away from Hokkaido all the way to Tokyo. During her six-month spree, she continually traded sexual favors for a roof over her head. Yoshida, however, remains unswayed by her seduction. Instead, he has her do a different kind of work — one that entails washing dishes and doing laundry. And so, a touching relationship between a heartbroken adult and a runaway high school girl begins. --- Update: added v03. If anyone's wondering the differences so far with the anime... pretty much none, besides the anime ignoring all side plots that don't directly impact the main story (which led to one character being totally nuked off, lol). Also, there is no way I'll ever use the galaxy brain title Crunchyroll's came up with.

Thank you for the difference info. (Good that I did not watch the anime after the ending of second book.) I suppose that the third book is still not the end of the anime. Can someone confirm this, or whether I need to wait for fourth or fifth book?
The anime "adapted" everything, up until 5th (and last) book.

A good part of the 3rd book was entirely skipped in the anime because it deals with this character the anime cut off. If I have to guess, the anime adapted the LN in its entirety (5 volumes) but skipped pretty much everything that didn't matter to the main plot. But we'll see I guess.
So we got another anime adaption that completely butchered the source material. Why do they even bother to make an adaption in the first place?

I really wouldn't consider it "butchered". The anime works just fine for whoever is anime-only and they chose to focus on the main plot to reach the ending in 13 eps.
Still the anime is quite enjoyable to watch despite the cuts.

If anyone's reading this, the translator (Fully Booked) dropped this project since it has been licensed. You'll have to wait for official volumes now unless someone else picks it up.
Any idea when the official volumes will drop?
