Kagaya Shuuichi was a regular guy. Until one day he realized he had the power to transform into a giant furry suit. The transformation is not just for show. He has incredible strength, an enhanced sense of smell, and a revolver proportional with his new huge body. One day he saves Aoki Clair from a fire, using his powers. As "thanks", Clair blackmails him into helping her find her missing sister. And so the two enter a world of battle. The prize? Anything. Oh, and Shuuichi's furry form has a zipper on its back. Whatever could it be for?
This was the edgy battle-royale of the season. I enjoyed it. I enjoyed the creepy/cute costume. I enjoyed the fact that Clair is a crazy bitch. I enjoyed the fact that the story was legit interesting and I enjoyed the brains VS brawns confrontations. And I really liked the hybridization idea. Too bad we only see one. The final "flashback" arc was all kinds of messed up, but I thought it was great. A real tragedy born from simple miscommunication. The source is the US BD. Shoutout to P4RI4H and TTGA. Subs are Erai-raws, but I left the PGS in as well. Oh, and I'm bring back the series synopses.
I only do 720p. There's no point in 1080p because there are always 1080p releases around. 720p is enough for me. I can push the quality to the max and still retain great quality.
You guys should really compare his 720p release to something like the 1080p release from Ember. There really isn't much of a noticeable difference when I compared the two, although I think a few of the lines looked a bit sharper but thats only when I paused and compared the two side-by-side.
I've compared DmonHiro's releases in the past to other 1080p encodes such as Judas and there are times when I prefer his 720p release because the overall quality is better.
TL;DR dont just assume 1080p is always better, how the encoding is done is more important.
@Deabound 1080p Ember encode is visibly better than this.
And 720p has half the amount of pixels than 1080p, 720p is unwatchable on a big screen like a 65 inch OLED TV.
Kazumato, I'm sorry for you if you really think that is true. That means you can't watch anything that only has a DVD release. That would suck. And I have a 55 inch Samsung OLED, and even those 480p DVD releases look great. Your problem is probably thinking that anything not super sharp looks bad. "Unwatchable". What a tool. Especially since many shows are upscaled.
