It's not a pun. It's a nautical term for speed and direction. Ahead means forwards, while astern means reverse. Slow is the speed between dead slow and half. Full being top speed. The word speed would be redundant.

Not complaining, just offering constructive criticism for ep 13. Then and than are not the same word. Than is for comparing two things. Then describes the time something happens. One thing happens, then the other happens later. One thing is bigger than the other. Also it's waste not, want not. Nice to see more Laffey being Laffey.
