Here are some all-new raws for the legendary Toei tokusatsu series "Kikaider," ripped in 576p from the original R2J ISOs by yours truly. As far as how they look, some of the early episodes are pretty rough and grainy, as the masters for the series are extremely old and were obviously not taken care of. Right around episode 10 or 11 things start looking better, and by the end of the series the episodes & the restoration look just about perfect. As far as the show itself, what can be said about it that hasn't already been said? Shotaro Ishinomori's android superhero, Kikaider, was one of Toei's first Ishinomori adaptations (showing up right after Kamen Rider), and it weaves a great story of an android man who battles the organization called Dark, the same group that made him, and their leader, Professor Gil, whose flute plays a tune that halts all of Kikaider's circuits and puts him into extreme pain. While the special effects and stunts are not up to par with the series of today, they get better as the series goes on, and right near the end we get the introduction of Hakaider, the black-clad android who is the polar opposite of Kikaider in every way. Those episodes lead up to a really slam-bang conclusion, but you'll have to watch it to find out just how many twists it throws at you! If you're a fan of Ishinomori's early works, or just want to enjoy this classic series in a better format, then look no further--this torrent is for you!
