This Studio A-Cat animation (sponsored by BiliBili) has strange logic throughout. I guess we are forced to accept various problems or situations solved off screen for the MC, so everything onscreen is the good part we are required to enjoy.

As terrible logic goes, fishermen are supposed to bring fish back They don't throw their catch into the sea.
The MC and friend are fishermen. The MC uses a fishing pole and it pulls up several huge fish into the air a distance from the boat with only one fish hooked while the other fish naturally fly up into the air. I guess we are supposed to ignore that only one fish is hooked. The angle of the rod and line to that great distance away from the boat is also a bit far even for the flashy MC. Instead of pulling the one hooked fish aboard the ship and having the other fish follow it through the air, the flashy MC throws his sword and it flies a non-linear path and chops multiple fish in multiple locations before flying back through the air like a boomerang to his outstretched hand perfectly.. But the chopped fish all fall into the ocean, but that doesn't matter since after going back to port, the MC has caught the most fish (offscreen).
After trying out the subs, I can honestly say they're pretty bad. Those who don't understand Japanese (the language in this episode is relatively pretty simple) and aren't in any hurry may want to wait until next week for the HIDIVE release. This one isn't going to continue being a week behind on HIDIVE going forward like Reincarnated as a Sword is (and that one has good subs on BiliBili anyway).
Subs are fine, I understood them fine and as to the fish being on the line, yeah big NOPE not one of those 3 fish were on a line they were 3 monster fish that jumped out / flew out of the water and attacked the person standing in the front of the boat who was not holding a rod but a a long pole with a sword like blade on one end which he dispatched the 3 fish with while his friend was still fishing with his rod and line going down into the water. Not too bad a simple overpowered hereo type show. Well for the first episode.
