**Synopsis**
When middle school kendo champion Ayumu Tanaka begins his first year in high school, he does not take the expected route of joining the Kendo Club; he signs up for the unofficial Shogi Club instead. His sole motive is falling in love at first sight with Urushi Yaotome—the club's president and only member—and will do anything to get closer to her. However, Ayumu decides not to confess to Urushi until he can beat her in a match of shogi fair and square.
Naturally, this self-imposed hurdle is a formidable challenge for Ayumu to overcome, as Urushi is far more experienced at the game and sees through his every strategy. Nevertheless, this does not stop him from praising her looks, her skill, or even her smile, which, coupled with Ayumu's expressionless face and direct approach, makes Urushi constantly blush beet red. Learning more about shogi and the charming player sitting across from him, Ayumu inches toward making his confession with each exciting round they play together—even if it is one pawn at a time!

i thought that this was 1 episode but a full 12 episode series.. omg imagine playing this on a 55" tv..
i don't understand why people would want to shrink video files unless they wanna play it on a 4" screen.
this should be marked as mini mkv..
**@Nokou**
I'm watching this on a 148'' canvas with my projector and have no problem whatsoever =). Also you can't just compare different shows by size. Some are compressible and some arent. This one is. I dont target certain filesizes. I use quality rate factors. So the quality among all my uploads should be somewhat comparable and similiar, whether its a 7 GB per season or 1.9 GB per season. The 7GB one just needs more bitrate because it has more movement, more complex scenes, grain, special artstyle and such. While this here is a slow static cute little SOL show where nothing much happens -> easily compressible.
I personally want to shrink files because I am building my own little anime library and want to keep everything that I watched. I get much farther when my average season of 12 episodes is 3 GB and not 12-16 GB. The quality is more than enough for me. But then again... that's personal pref. If you can spot the difference and don't mind triple to quintuple the size per show then there is no shame in getting one of the big ones =)
@neoborn everything you said is valid and yes everyone has their own preferences. I just had bad luck with mini mkv's and also small size files..
suppose it's what ever way it's encoded.
**@Nokou**
I mean don't get me wrong, a bigger well filtered file preserves more details and fixes some impurities. It's just that I don't see much difference in the way I'm watching and the small differences that I do notice are not nearly as bad as the bigger filesize I have to pay to fix them. But just because I don't see differences big enough to do something about it doesn't mean others can't either. For example banding, I don't try to do anything against it with filters (not that filtering that out and trying to go mini does make any sense in my opinion) because the size you save by keeping it and then filter it in realtime with a good media player is huge. Instead of permanent data in my file I prefer to have temporary data added while playing and it works astoundingly well.
I also made the experience that most people don't really know what the difference is between bigger/smaller files and where to look for those differences. They think big > small all the time and just go big. I did the same before I started researching, paying attention and experimenting with this stuff some time ago. That's when I came to the conclusion that the format my uploads are in right now is my personal sweetspot. So I'm going with this and apparently some people like it too :D
I've also heard of more people than I thought was possible that they watch anime on their phones/tables exclusively. Suppose for them it makes no sense whatsoever to download and handle big files.
@neoborn, love your file sizes, keep up the fantastic work, I'm not made of storage and happily take a small hit in quality to save precious TBs Plenty of other releases are larger for the ones that care.
