I swear K1RO's got no understanding of space and timing, his animation "technique" is shove as many frames as you can of the characters flailing their arms around like headless chickens and hope all the jingling keys impress everyone. Obviously not everything has to be Kanada pose to pose stuff, but this guy's approach is just the worst.

@fishgiver 100% agree. How people think his work is good is beyond me. It's like everything he does is composed of four colours, a couple of stickmen, and some explosive effects animated at breakneck speed so you don't see how shit everything looks. I'd rather short, impactful action scenes than an entire season of action that looks like crap.

This looked like such dogshit, and the hare in the snow scene with Mahiro was cringe as fuck and a state of emotion/place that seems inapplicable to curses. Granted the pacing and writing of this series is a joke, and it's not because characters get bodied (that's actually a good thing), it's because of the retard shounen power levels in what could've been a much more interesting premise. The entire idea of Gojo's power is beyond stupid, however the memes of him are pretty funny. Mahiro is a very one dimensional character who wore out his welcome, definitely he was allowed to run a train on the cast and fuck up way too many people for too long, which isn't bad writing exactly, but it is when you make him act like just another bitch in the end. He should be going out smiling and remorseless and giving Yuji zero satisfaction. However that'd just be my own biased directional lead, mostly becuase I hate Yuji and want to see his worthless character suffer.

@milkmedaddy By your logic Starbucks is one of the best cafe/restaurants around if you're just going by numbers. The story is dogwater with some of the most rushed and generic characters around with an overemphasis on trying to be 'cool and edgy', and animation that is quite clearly cheap in the typical MAPPA fashion we have come to expect. Kage no Jitsuryokusha and Frieren have had much more engaging fights this season and one is a parody that doesn't take itself seriously and the other is 50% comfy slice of life. Action means absolutely nothing when I don't give a damn about the characters or story. I might as well just play a fucking video game if it's just explosions and CGI.

@YellowDrax based. Unfortunately zoomers will never understand what they missed from older era anime. Yes endings were and have usually been shit but the premises were much more original than generic DnD fantasy-esque Isekai rehash #1 million. At least animators and storywriters both had passion then, anime doesn't work right unless both those things exist. I actually think Frieren is kind of dogwater in the writing department, it's comfy and OK at least until that tournament shit began making it feel like another shounen. I doubt the anime will make it that far, but that's where I dropped the manga some years ago, dunno what chapter. Oh and at least Frieren has been mostly pretty to look at, MadHouse is rawdogging Crappa every day of the week
