Orphan Fansubs is really pleased to bring you the first English-subtitled version of 1992 TV special *Michite Kuru Toki no Mukou ni* (*Across the Surging Times*). Based on the award winning novel *Paradise* by Suzuki Koji, *Michite Kuru* is a sweeping story of love and destiny crossing millennia, from ancient Mongolia to modern times. [Spoiler alert.] The story starts with a tribe of nomads, 10,000 years ago. Bogud and Fayau are lovers, protected by the spirit of the red deer on her amulet. ![screencap](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOjfB41ZhcjDbt0HzOB-MIo6DZDGUGUAkApkRDB8gfww-Xb6QrwtxfC4mfwrZVywXjKGHZ4cRnCaQmQOvaTWAY6wBwtyZqkBjNba4VMVSyo44Vtq9D47wpi7RL80-Em-832ZkNNTOOJx98p1ExuE3Rt3E3MYpoCcOr7Vbj1zshFTXgDGgmZkEbAZyvR5Mz/s640/%5BOrphan-raw%5D%20Michitekuru%20Toki%20no%20Mukou%20ni%20(LD)%20%5B42FF5587%5D_001_45080.png) When a marauding tribe kidnaps Fayau and takes her across the Bering Straights land bridge to "the new land," Bogud vows to find her again, although he is forced to set out by sea. On a Polynesian island during the Age of Discovery, Bogud's descent Laia meets and falls in love with a stranded English sailor. They discover a long hidden monument to the red deer. ![screencap](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLIV45p25dl-WWeVZdFoN47vsqfjbHOzwBlocErSADd2I9-_d8yyCxO9TAS_ilbJBzs_tWnrbNj-VTMlOU2zRMu42JoLiVj5CezvOdUK4PNb-8Lz8SZpmtg4T-mwSLGYFQNhyOaUZYmf1irULy5h0dzTLMCrpgXruRa59xkIgL8hPzorkUFQTM_wEgzrmH/s640/%5BOrphan-raw%5D%20Michitekuru%20Toki%20no%20Mukou%20ni%20(LD)%20%5B42FF5587%5D_001_77160.png) Tattooed with its image, Laia, her lover, and her tribe set out for the new lands. In modern times, Fayau's descendant Leslie Mardoff, still wearing the protective amulet of the red deer, is exploring a deep cave in the desert. Notoriously media-shy, he has inexplicably agreed to a interview with Bogud's descendant Flora, a novice journalist who has a birthmark of a red deer. When an earthquake strands Leslie underground, Flora is drawn to his rescue. They meet, completing the destiny of Bogud, Fayau, and the red deer. [End spoilers] As a fan of "love across time" stories, *Michite Kuru* has been on my wish list for quite a while. Orphan originally released it as a raw. When Perevodildo agreed to translate the show, the project really started moving. Laserdisc rip from the Domesday Duplicator; FLAC audio.
