The 1984 LD cuts 11 film frames in one scene to "fix" an animation loop error (see 00:15:58.908-00:16:03.379 in remux / 2007 DVD Disc 2). This would not have been such a bad idea, if it weren't for the fact that they didn't cut any audio there, so the LD has a major desync that lasts for nearly 6 minutes. The video producers later restore the sync by cutting audio after Misa reminisced about Riber. I patched in a piece of 1993 LD audio there. Later releases "fix" the animation loop by slowing down and extending the animation via interpolation/blending.
