***THE END***
thank you for this :-)
@ TheOtakuX ... it caught a LOT of people by surprise ... I found out when it was being discussed on one of the MDUD reddit groups ... I have to wonder if it was cancelled by the publisher because sales were dropping ... I have heard of the same thing being done to other manga's over the years ... some say the series is on "hiatus" but it never gets resumed ... and some series, like this one all of a sudden get a rushed ending ...
the second anime season never materialized ... and I guess the live action tv series they did of it did not generate enough interest to boost manga sales as high as the publisher wanted
On MAL the anime is still scheduled for 2025 and there is an event during the AnimeJapan 2025 on 3/23 where they could reveal when the season will be airing.
Yeah, it's always sad to see good manga go after 14 volumes while trash like Rent-a-Girlfriend is still ongoing with 39 volumes and things like Domestic Girlfriend and Nisekoi reach well over 20 volumes.
Who knows what the reasons are. Judging by some reviews I read, it looks like the story lost its way.
@ ka35z ... interesting that you mentioned Rent-a-Girlfriend and Domestic Girlfriend ... I read both for a little while ... and while both started out with interesting story ideas ... both went the way of the very first manga I ever started reading, Ah Megami-Sama (Oh My Goddess), I never did get past about v22 of 48 vols ... as the story gets real popular, and the publisher wants to keep making lots of money off of it ... it gets monotonous by endlessly using the same few plot ideas over and over and over again ... those of us who understand that a story is supposed to have a beginning, a middle, and an end, get tired of stories like that ... but evidently there are millions of fans who dont ... Bleach, One Piece, Naruto, Detective Conan, etc ... going on decade after decade ... it is kind of like what TV soap operas are like here in America ... you can skip a month's worth of episodes, and you still know what is going to happen next when you start watching them again
I just checked one of the reddit MDUD groups and there are supposed to be 2 more ch's coming out ... an epilogue ch, and a bonus ch ... no time frame was announced ... but hopefully it wont be too long
there was also some discussion in that sub-group that the rushed ending might be related to the authors health
quote from above post by ka35z " while trash like Rent-a-Girlfriend is still ongoing with 39 volumes and things like Domestic Girlfriend and Nisekoi reach well over 20 volumes."
@ TheOtakuX ... so, he called them trash ... and you say they are also great ... did you actually read the complete post he made ? ? ? ? ? ? ?
