There’s no USBD for this show, so the next best option for the English dub is Netflix’s version in xHE-AAC format. That left me with three choices:
1. Keep the xHE-AAC track as it is – but xHE-AAC is barely supported by media players, so that option was a no-go.
2. Convert it to a more common lossy format (like max qaac) – This would’ve fixed the compatibility problem, but it would’ve been a lossy-to-lossy transcode. It’s fine in some cases, but since this is a remux, I decided to go with the next option.
3. Convert it to a more common lossless format (FLAC) – This would solve the compatibility issue without any more loss. It does make the file bigger, though.
TLDR: The **English audio** is a *lossy-to-lossless* transcode of Netflix's xHE-AAC, just in a more compatible and *lossless container*. I repeat, the english audio is still **LOSSY**.
