@koutetsunobeowulf for the same reason you can't release above the real resolution (check site rules) you shouldn't release above the real fps, if I were the site admin I would expand the rules with a paragraph on fps. And upscaled encodes can actually look good, 60fps anime is godawful and people asking for such encodes should be ashamed of themselves. If adding more fps would be this simple animators wouldn't need to work like slaves. Such disrespect.

Scenes which normally stutter at fast speed are removed and action scenes look " most of the time " better "in my opinion". The reason why you can't release above the real resolution is because the video won't get any improvement from it. with 24 to 60fps conversion movement of fast scenes is smoother "IMO" which is a improvement. I just want to say you need to stop hating just because YOU and some other people don't like 60fps anime. The worst thing I think is that you actually go to this page just to hate on the release because you don't like it. :P

All those haters are so funny and unfortunately there are so many of them. They spent so much time writing what they hate it makes me almost feel sorry for them (joking, I'm not). No it's not, it's the same reason that every film director recommends turning off HDTV interpolation (which is already done in film mode in every TV I know of). You can't magically adds fps without ruining the work that has been done, 60fps needs very little or close to no motion blur, 24fps needs a lot of motion blur, if you take 24fps material and interpolate it you ruin the end result because the amount of blur is objectively wrong. Also there is more in animation than pans... (and interpolating sakuga is the highest disrespect I can think of) I commented here because I don't want you or any other 60fps apologist to ruin the experience of the people that don't know how anime are made and how interpolation works and may think that 60fps is better because 60 is bigger than 24.

@Mites i think 60fps only really works on motion that changes slowly, like a panning shot. But lets say it's something like Mob Psycho or most Bones shows, the frames will just be disfigured, distorted, and if you're using frame-blending, that even worse. Think about impact frames and such, they are meant to last literally 1 frame and to be completely clear and precise. 3D animation i guess could work with 60fps, but most action with drawn keyframes will usually just not work, which you'll see if you pause and look frame by frame.

You can try waifu2x for single images, for anime-style art it's super-impressive.

@vienarr Nope, It's marked as a "remake" with the original video in the description therefore you can obviously see it's not native 60fps. Native 60fps anime doesn't even exist.
