We use CRF 18, a high-quality bitrate setting that is a standard recommendation on Doom9 (the expert encoding forum). Rest assured that this video will look perfectly fine even when watched closely on a large screen. CRF 18 avoids pointlessly bloating bitrate for virtually no gain, so you get a great balance of quality and size.
[Audio quality]
This encode uses FLAC, which is lossless but also very large. For virtually the same quality at a much lower filesize, request for a [Small] encode instead on our discord, which uses lossy AAC encoding to strike a better balance. (The video in both encodes is identical.)
If there are any issues please comment below with good pointers where something goes wrong.
Have fun watching and hope you like this torrent.
Do not forget to comment after you watched and or downloaded it ^^

>720p 10Bit Hi444PP
okay mate so smart but yuv chroma subsampling 444 is totally overkill for a yuv 420 source and why 720p ;p ?
Also I just started recently 6 to 7 months ago
The Blu-ray is a 720p upscale. It was upscaled from 720 4:4:4. The luma can be downscaled back to 720 with practically no loss since there are no 1080p details to begin with, but to downscale it to 720p 4:2:0 would mean reducing the chroma to 360p, when the chroma was originally 720p and the transfer to Blu-ray 1080p 4:2:0 only downscaled it to 540. So instead of downscaling the 540p chroma to 360, we do 4:4:4 so as not to lose the detail that's there.
You'll start to pick up your encoder's eye for issues as you progress, but as of now, if your goal is for near perfection, let me tell you you're missing the mark by a wide margin. You need a lot more video bitrate.
If your goal is just "pretty watchable with a nice reduction in file size," then your decisions are... odd. You're pairing bitstarved video with lossless audio when you can get a very large reduction in size with zero perceptible loss by encoding the audio to a modern lossy codec like AAC, Vorbis, or Opus. (Opus can have some issues shifting subtitle timing in MKV so I'd avoid that)
The very first place you should look at in reducing size is the audio. I would take raw Blu-ray video with high bitrate AAC over encoded video with DTS-MA or FLAC any day of the week, because you're not going to hear any difference between the AAC and FLAC, but I could pick out the difference between the original video and any encode smaller than it.

Here comes a Quoate from Kametsu:
"
It has been brought to our attention that a user by the name of kuchikirukia likes our work so much that he has been stealing our releases to claim them as his own.
He’s re-encoding the audio to low-grade aac, cutting the op & ed out and linking them, and taking 100% credit for all the work. This user has stolen works from various other groups as well and almost never gives credit to the video, audio, or subtitle groups he takes from. He even has gone as far as claiming they were all his original stuff previously.
Just thought everyone should be made aware of this lowlife and possibly avoid him or give him a piece of your mind (be careful though, he’s a nasty fellow).
"
Endquote
Please man I have no doubt
Kametsu doesn't know the first thing about encoding since they only remux. I encode, and I'll also remux when there's a raw out there that meets my standards. That's just Koby crying that I've finished a couple of their remuxes that were using good raws.
No it perfectly fine shows what you do as well.
And I am pretty sure more people think alike, they do make subs and remux them but they could just ask me or others to include their source material to make releases with, perfectly fine with it.
He is not crying also he's aware that you do this and wants to make other people aware of what is at hand and happening.
I say totally normal to do this and this is not a bad thing, it's more a tip for you to back off a little and think what happens.
I give you one Big tip, Back off with the attitude that you are the best, that is definitely not true and just hilariously wrong, no one is the best, not even me.
Also the way of making the release comment at your releases are a little toxic and well implying that you know all and everyone should follow, this is really just asking for people to react to you in a negative manner, as you seem to like to other people as well.
Tester here, I rechecked audio streams for this anime, it is syncing correctly with the video, and/or any dubbing in this encode should be synced correctly with the video as well.
